How much sleep do you need at different stages of your life?

  • 0-3 months: 14-17 hours
  • 4-11 months: 12-15 hours
  • 1-2 years: 11-14 hours
  • 3-5 years: 10-13 hours
  •  6-13 years: 9-11 hours
  • 14-17 years: 8-10 hours
  • 18-25 years: 7-9 hours
  • 26-64 years: 7-9 hours
  • 65+ years: 7-8 hours

    So was is wrong with me ????? I still sleep about 10 hours x day ????? True sometimes only 7 but the average is about 9 x day and feel great some days I also have a Siesta (Small sleep after 1 or 2pm) for about 1 Hr. …. I have lots of energy maybe because I let my body recuperate ???.

    So this calculations are wrong he he he he because I am on my 70’s he he he he and do average of 9 Hr’s

    But is true if you sleep say about 7 to 8 hours x day your body recup better

    My Mother use to have small Siesta every day for about 15 to 20 minutes and she look young for ever …. She pas when she was over 90 (Breath Cancer) otherwise she probably live to over 100 …. RIP Mom

    Everyone is different, and it depends on how much energy you have expended during the day. It also depends on your diet, if you eat healthy (enough fibre through veg and fruit) you will need less energy to digest therefore have more for you to enjoy.

    If 18-25 and 26-64 need 7.9, why show it as two seperate entry.

    Would it not have been easier to just put 18-64 = 7.9?

    Unless you have made a mistake in the figures.
